College Addiction Treatment

Early recovery can present challenges and rewarding accomplishments. If higher education is an interest of yours, Hope Academy can help integrate college into your recovery. While the focus will remain primarily on recovery and sobriety, Hope Academy will also teach clients study skills, test taking skills, and time management skills. College is all about preparing the individual for life, and because of this Hope Academy also educates clients on life skills such as budgeting, taxes, the importance of saving, resume writing, and credit.

For those just entering recovery, college may seem like it's a long way off. Getting sober certainly presents plenty of challenges and obstacles by itself, and your initial thoughts may be to tackle this before taking on any endeavors. However, going back to school while in a therapeutic environment helps to manage the stresses that will inevitably arise. Life, and all it's stresses, aren't going anywhere. Learning how to deal with the issues that present themselves in school, and life in general, is a primary focus in our recovery process. Gaining these skills helps prevent relapse and will help the client become a better student. Learning to live life and deal with its stresses is one of the most rewarding aspects of recovery.

The road to recovery isn't easy, but if followed will result in one of the greatest accomplishments in life. If the graduation stage is a stop along your path, Hope Academy can help you get there.
